Author: Crimewave are a Thanet based Punk Rock band who create music and videos that deal with the realities of life. They have recently released two “News Bulletins” on their YouTube channel.
Crimewave have been going for approximately 4 years with various vocalists until Gash came along and filled the spot permanently. After the departure of founding member Loz last year to local festival band Aurora (Facebook Link) they were considering packing it in until Russ from The Warriors who had been helping out Crimewave since they started said he would play bad guitar for them.
The current line up of Gash, Karl, Russ & Demc are in the process of re-working most of the old songs and rehearsing new ones for a couple of upcoming gigs in Sheerness with original 77 punk band The Vibrators and in Margate with Russ’s other band The Warriors and punk legends UK Subs. As well as rehearsing what is practically a new set, Crimewave have decided to release videos instead of songs.
Due to the content of these videos we are unable to show the video on here but i urge you to go have a look at their YouTube channel where you will find both “Bulletins” or head over to the brand new Crimewave Blog where you will find one of the videos (the other one will no doubt be put there at some time).

Here is the first Podcast of the year – late i know. We decided to get Russ from The Warriors to do a podcast of cover versions for the good people over at the Mr Gig forums, where there is a constant arguement about covers vs originals bands and most amusing it is at times.
We at Lifebuilder like covers that are done differently to the originals. A proper cover version. Not a copy version which most people are intent on playing. There are some very interesting cover versions here, maybe not better than some of the originals but certainly different. Anyway for the people at Mr Gig and anyone else who likes cover not copy versions of songs – here is the first Lifebuilder covercast.

We are well into the New Year and we have been busy which is why this site has not been updated recently. Coming over the next couple of weeks will be new podcasts and possibly a video as well as some artwork from local artists, some of whom will be making their work available to buy thru the lifebuilder website.
We will aslo be selling t-shirts, novelty clocks and other items on E-bay over the next couple of weeks.
